3rd Year in a Row: Annual Student Nursing Leadership Training

General Santos City - Six (6) student nurses from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University and Brokenshire College SOCCSSARGEN Inc. were the recipients of the 3rd Annual Student Nursing Leadership Training project held at the Mother Francisca Spiritual Center, Lagao, General Santos on May 25-27, 2009.

This is the 3rd in a row with modest support from Ms. Darlene Dilangalen Borromeo, a New Jersey-based Filipina nurse leader.

The training is patterned after the Servant Leadership framework and is facilitated by Dr. Danny Alfaras. Graduates to this project were dubbed as "DDB Fellows".

This time around saw Ms. Mai Yumang acting as senior student leader for the training session. Ms Yumang is a recipient of the 2008 training held at the same venue. “I really enjoyed the training and the opportunity to meet with other students leaders ” said Ms.Yumang.

The training session was spiced up with a membership induction ceremony where 2 undergraduate students, one professional nurse and one honorary member were inducted into full membership.

To date, there are 26 students who have benefitted from this rare leadership training.
