International Seminar International Seminar Shapes Path Towards Nursing Future in Mindanao

The 1st Mindanao International Nursing Seminar concluded today in Davao City, Philippines. Jointly organised and coordinated by the University of Mindanao College of Nursing and the Florence Nightingale Institute, the education arm of the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society. Both institutions have strong links to leading local and international research groups and healthcare industry clinics. They are also popular in providing continuing education for nurses in many regions of the country.

This international seminar focused bringing together both established and promising Nurses all throughout Mindanao Region; sharing recent progress in Nursing and to identify gaps as well as new research needs; promoting local and international networking and collaborations in the region; and revealing the state-of-the art experiences in Nursing, areas of international synergies and coordinate for possible research efforts.









The said event was held in the University of Mindanao Auditorium–DPT Building, Matina Campus, Davao City. The competent resource speakers include Dr. Marilyn Klakovich (Azusa Pacific University), Jerome Babate, Mary Ramos and Dr. Violeta Lopez (Australian National University) who served as the keynote speaker.

Prof. Jobert Porras (Davao Doctors College), Prof. Grace Patricio (University of Mindanao) and Prof. Rexie Bagnol (University of Mindanao) were the main coordinators of the event.
