It was also the day when a group of 5 members were chartered as an official chapter -- officially called the Delta Chapter of Negros. It was also an occasion to recognize Dr Joel Patalagsa and Dr Marylou Ong as first recipients of the BND Philippine Nursing Research Award.

Earlier on that day, our BND Manila coordinator -- Rudolf Martinez -- facilitated a workshop on phenomenology. Practically, the professional nurses learn about the philosophical and methodological foundations of phenomenology and practice some of the core methodological techniques of phenomenological research.
