Dr. Marylou Ong of Cebu Normal University was recently elected as the new regional governor of the Philippine Nurses Association replacing Prof. Julius Dano who served in this position for 4 years with the last 2 years as concurrent national chairperson of the AssociationDr. Ong is currently the dean of the College of Nursing. She holds two doctorate degrees in nursing (Cebu Normal University) and management (University of Visayas).
A few years back, she was the regional president of the ADPCN 7 and has served in the Association's board of directors for a number of years.
She is the member of the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society.
