The 3rd edition of the National Nursing Research Webinar was a productive event. The webinar provided an opportunity for our new Filipino nurse researchers to build relationships and to disseminate their nursing and health-related knowledge.
Dean Joel Rey Acob of the Visayas State University gave his opening remarks while Prof. Rudolf Martinez of the Journal of Caring and Health Sciences welcomed both the guests and participants to the annual event.
Prominent personalities provided their well-wishers' messages: Senator Ronald deal Rosa, Dr. Charisma Ututalum (Sulu State College) and Dr. Ma. Carla Ochotorena (Western Mindanao State University).
Prof. Edna M. Monroe, RN, EdD, APRN (Chaminade University) delivered her keynote address highlighting the need for "everybody to understand that research is great" and that its need to implement it in practice.
Three emerging nurse researchers presented their doctoral research papers: Heading the list was Sillmark Bacason, RN, PhD who expounded on the "The Essence of Nurses' Will to Stay and Work in the Philippines: Towards the Development of Nurse Retention Program.
