Dr. Jean Guillasper has been appointed Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (RET), marking a significant development in Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST)’s commitment to innovation and community engagement. Formerly the Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Guillasper brings extensive leadership experience and a robust research portfolio to her new role.
Under her guidance, numerous Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and externally funded projects have been successfully implemented, contributing to NEUST’s pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals. Dr. Guillasper’s vision focuses on translating research into actionable outcomes that benefit both the university and the broader community, aligning with global standards of excellence.
A published researcher of numerous studies, Dr. Guillasper is recognized for her dedication to improving healthcare education and promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration. Her emphasis on evidence-based practice, capacity-building, and community-focused solutions has earned her respect across academic and professional circles.
As the new Vice President for RET, Dr. Guillasper plans to expand partnerships, strengthen research capabilities, and drive extension programs that address critical social issues. She succeeds Dr. Rachael Moralde, whose tenure laid essential groundwork for many current initiatives.
